Full-arch rehabilitation in Marbella

When all or most teeth are missing, a small number of implants can support a fixed full-arch prosthesis.

What is a full-arch rehabilitation on implants?

When most or all of the teeth in an arch have been lost, you don't need one implant per tooth: 4 to 8 well-distributed implants can support a fixed full-arch prosthesis. It's the alternative to a removable denture for anyone who wants teeth that don't come out.

Can you leave the clinic with fixed teeth the same day?

When the implants' primary stability allows it, yes: a fixed provisional prosthesis is fitted the same day as surgery. The final prosthesis follows once the bone has finished integrating the implants, usually 3 to 6 months later.

What if I don't have enough bone for that many implants?

Lack of bone doesn't rule out a full-arch rehabilitation on its own: bone regeneration techniques exist, and in more severe cases, longer implants anchored in denser areas of the jaw. Every case is studied with a CBCT before proposing one technique or another.

  • Fixed provisional the same day

When the case allows it, there isn't a single day without teeth.

  • Fewer implants than you'd think

4 to 8 well-distributed implants support the whole arch, not one per tooth.

  • A fixed, not removable, result

Unlike a denture, it isn't taken out to eat or sleep.

Our approach to full-arch rehabilitation in Marbella

Most full-mouth cases we see at our Marbella centre clinic have sufficient bone density: 4 to 8 well-distributed implants, no regeneration techniques needed. When a case is more complex — severe bone loss, zygomatic implants — we refer it to our surgical centre in Nagüeles, which concentrates that type of surgery across the group.

A fixed same-day provisional isn't automatic: it depends on the primary stability we achieve in surgery. We'd rather say that clearly at the assessment than promise it upfront and not deliver.

  • Cases with sufficient bone density, resolved at this clinic.
  • Cases of severe bone loss, referred to the group's surgical centre.
  • A fixed same-day provisional when primary stability allows it.

Common questions

Frequently asked questions about this treatment

01 How does the same-day fixed provisional work?

Everything is planned digitally before surgery. If the implants' primary stability allows it, a fixed provisional prosthesis is fitted in the same session: there isn't a single day without teeth while the bone heals.

02 How long does the whole process take?

The provisional is fitted right away. Bone healing usually takes 3 to 6 months, after which the final prosthesis is fitted. The exact time depends on how complex each case is.

03 How many implants does a full arch need?

Not one per tooth: 4 to 8 well-distributed implants, depending on technique and bone density, support the fixed prosthesis for the whole arch.

04 What if I don't have enough bone?

Solutions exist for bone loss — regeneration, longer implants in denser areas — assessed with a CBCT before proposing a technique. Lack of bone doesn't rule out treatment on its own.
