They correct shape and shade while preserving as much healthy tooth as possible.

What are dental veneers?

They are very thin porcelain shells bonded to the visible face of the tooth. They let us change shape, shade and size and correct minor crowding or gaps without orthodontics or crowns.

Do they look artificial?

Not when they are properly planned. Porcelain reproduces the translucency of natural enamel, and the design is built from your facial proportions rather than a catalogue. What reads as artificial usually comes from a shade that is too uniform and a shape that is too symmetrical.

How long do they last?

With correct hygiene and regular check-ups, a well-indicated porcelain veneer has a long service life. The factor that shortens it most is uncontrolled bruxism: if you clench, the night guard is part of the treatment, not an optional extra.

Veneers or crowns?

A veneer covers only the visible surface and preserves more tooth; it is the option when the tooth is sound and the issue is cosmetic. A crown covers the whole tooth and is indicated where there is significant breakdown, a previous root canal or a fracture.

  • Minimal preparation

In many cases the enamel is barely touched.

  • Approved before we start

Aesthetic trial in the mouth before any definitive preparation.

  • Few appointments

The treatment is completed in a small number of visits.

Our approach to veneers in Marbella

There are two ways to do veneers: grind the teeth down until a standard set fits, or design the result and prepare only what is strictly needed to achieve it. We work the second way, and in some cases the enamel is not touched at all.

Before proposing any veneer we check two things: that the gums are healthy and that the bite will not destroy the work. If there is bruxism, the night guard is in the quote from the start; it is not an extra that appears later.

  • Aesthetic trial in the mouth before any definitive preparation.
  • Minimal or no preparation in selected cases.
  • Night guard included where bruxism is present.

Real results

Before and after: porcelain veneers

  • Crowding and colour

Before treatment: veneers on crowded, darkened teeth
    Before
After treatment: veneers on crowded, darkened teeth
    After

Rotated incisors and a yellowish shade. Apparent alignment and colour were corrected without prior orthodontics, because the displacement was small.

  • Wear

Before treatment: veneers on worn teeth
    Before
After treatment: veneers on worn teeth
    After

Edges worn down by bruxism. The lost length was restored and a night guard was included with the treatment.

  • Gaps

Before treatment: closing gaps between teeth with veneers
    Before
After treatment: closing gaps between teeth with veneers
    After

Gaps between the front teeth. They were closed by adjusting the width of each tooth so the proportions still looked natural.

Common questions

Frequently asked questions about this treatment

01 How long do porcelain veneers last?

With correct hygiene and regular check-ups, the service life is long. The factor that shortens it most is uncontrolled bruxism: if you clench, a night guard is part of the treatment.

02 Do veneers look artificial?

Not when they are properly planned. Porcelain reproduces the translucency of enamel and the design starts from your facial proportions. What reads as artificial usually comes from a shade that is too uniform and a shape that is too symmetrical.

03 Does a lot of tooth have to be filed down?

We work with minimal preparation and, in selected cases, none at all. The less enamel we touch, the better the long-term prognosis.

04 Can I eat normally?

Yes. It is worth avoiding biting hard objects such as ice, or opening things with your teeth — the same as with natural teeth.

05 Can veneers be removed?

The bonding is adhesive and definitive. If one needs replacing in future, it is substituted with another. That is why the prior aesthetic trial matters so much: it is the moment to change your mind.
